Chlorpheniramine during pregnancy and lactation, Chlorpheniramine category by FDA, its use during pregnancy and lactation its teratogenic effects are described.

Small amount of drug excrete into breast milk, if required low dose should be prescribed.

Chlorpheniramine no evidence of congenital malformations with this drug, Antihistamine exposure in the first trimester in general was not associated with an increased risk of malformations, Animal studies have not been reported.

Breast feeding

Chlorpheniramine antihistamines are excreted into human milk in low concentrations, the manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering chlorpheniramine to nursing women.
